To enhance assessment efforts within the Division of Student Affairs, we support two dynamic platforms designed to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and utility of program assessment. Qualtrics serves as our sophisticated survey tool, offering robust data collection and analysis features. Additionally, Niner Engage complements these efforts by providing a suite of tools that can further refine and enrich your assessment strategies. Please take a moment to review the information provided below and sign up for our professional development workshops.
Qualtrics:
The Division of Student Affairs utilizes Qualtrics, a university-supported survey platform available to all UNC Charlotte faculty, staff, and students. Qualtrics facilitates the creation of surveys for gathering feedback, data collection, and program or project evaluation. To access your Qualtrics account, go to qualtrics.charlotte.edu. Feel free to review OneIT's FAQs on how to log into Qualtrics. If you are experiencing any issues, you will need to submit a help ticket to OneIT.
To support departments in survey creation, SARA offers two works: Qualtrics 101 and Qualtrics 102. Qualtrics 101 is an introductory workshop that instructs participants on how to effectively construct and organize surveys, create questions, publish, and administer surveys. Qualtrics 102 shows users how they can use the data and analysis tools to perform basic quantitative and qualitative analysis. All of our workshops are held in CHHS 342. We have also prerecorded these workshops and posted them to this webpage so you can return to them when needed. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to paul.holliday-millard@charlotte.edu.
Niner Engage:
The University of North Carolina at Charlotte utilizes Anthology’s Engage product (known on campus as Niner Engage), a platform available to all UNC Charlotte faculty, staff, and students. Niner Engage acts as a one-stop shop for campus events, resources, departments, programs, and student organizations. Students can utilize the platform to find organizations or programming that matches their interests or goals, and faculty and staff can use the platform to promote their offerings or gather information like service hours, event attendance, and general feedback through the forms tool.
To support departments in best utilizing this platform, Mark Manning has partnered with the SARA department to offer workshops detailing the various uses of Engage on campus, and the ways that Engage can support or enhance your reporting and assessment. To register for this workshop, please find a workshop in Niner Engage and RSVP for the event. Spots are limited! Workshops will be held in CHSS 157. Please bring your laptop so that we can work collaboratively! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Mark.Manning@charlotte.edu.
To register for one of these workshops, please follow this link. Once there, sign in by selecting the Sign In icon located at the top right corner of the website. To log in to Niner Engage, you only need access to NinerNet credentials, as the platform uses our University’s SSO.
